1996年从原属地分出，独立设西塘管理区，1999年改称西塘村委会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，西塘村列入2018年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2023年5月，获广东省爱卫会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
