西一社区位于惠来县惠城镇城区北面，东邻英内社区，环城北路和深汕高速公路惠城路段贯通其辖区。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年至1958年间，社区曾办初级社和高级社。1958年起为西一大队，1983年至1987年归西联乡，1987年设西一管区。此后管区撤销，1999年成为村委会，2003年转为社区居委会，此名一直沿用至今。[1]

地理与社会[edit]

居民以种植荔枝、水稻和蔬菜为主，兼营生猪、三鸟饲养及务工。种植荔枝是社区的主要生产特色，良种有糯米糍、桂味和妃子笑等。[2]
