据博雅地名网，村内分七个村民小组，即陈林、安境、溪园、高园、新高园、径湖与客堂。耕地1700亩，居民5200多人，统计年份未注。[1]

农业[edit]

农业以水稻为主，并发展淮山、姜茨、香蕉与反季节蔬菜等特色品种。[1]

荣誉与建设[edit]

村内设党总支一个，下设五个支部，共有党员72人。村庄曾是揭西县建设社会主义新农村的示范点。[1]

2023年11月，金溪村入选广东省「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村名单。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

时间顺序上看：1972年分出设立金溪大队；1984年撤销生产大队，设乡政府；1986年设村委会；1990年改为管理区办事处；1999年又改为金溪村委会，至今仍用此名。解放初属五联区。[1]
