祠堂村位于揭阳市区东部，南面临榕江南河，莲花大道与望江北路穿过村域，是榕东街道的一个行政村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1993年，祠堂析出，成立祠堂村委会，隶属榕东街道。[1]

经济[edit]

村辖区面积为0.53平方公里，户数462户，人口2150人（年份未注明）。2008年工业产值达3亿元，村民人均收入5100元。[1]

村内两处内河深水码头的年吞吐量都超过百万吨。村民大多从事玩具及配件的生产加工，是玩具生产的专业村，产品远销欧美、中东等地。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年9月、2021年10月和2022年10月，祠堂村先后列入淘宝村名单。祠堂村于2023年5月获广东省爱卫会评定为「2022年广东省卫生村」。[1]
