福安村位于望牛墩镇西部，离镇中心约四公里，处在东江下游一带。它与横沥、朱平沙、石排、官洲几村相接，望朱公路从境内穿过，村域面积约0.6平方千米。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初，此地先隶属新明乡；1953年改划为十四区新联乡，1957年并入望牛墩大乡，1958年归中堂公社。[2]

1961年，福安与官洲、石排一同编为三联大队，1963年这一编制并入横沥大队。1977年从横沥分出，设福安大队；1983年建福安乡，1987年为福安管理区，1999年成为村委会。[2]

人口与土地[edit]

镇政府网站村情资料（未注明年份）称，村内户籍人口为1050人，暂住的外省市流动人口约350人。原有耕地600亩，其中已有250亩因道路与企业建设被征用，尚余300亩为农业用地。[1]

经济[edit]

同一村情资料称，村民多以务农和到民营企业打工为生，部分村民从事汽车运输。村内的企业包括五金制品、纸业、纸箱、橡塑与造纸等，以及一个花卉场和一个综合市场。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月公布的名单里有本村，该名单对应广东省2018年度的民主法治示范村（社区）工作。[2]
