上沙社区位于长安镇中部，东邻沙头社区，西接厦岗社区，是孙中山先生的先代故乡，辖区面积约5.848平方千米。[1][3]

社区以制造业为核心，产业集中在五金模具、汽车零部件和新能源等领域，下辖中南、中山、中富、中强四个居民小组。2024年末，此地登记的户籍人口为3200余人。[1][4]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，宋末，福建南雄人迁居此地。1952年，上沙归入沙岗乡，与上角、厦岗、厦边同属一乡；1958年，沙岗乡改为厦岗大队，上沙另设大队于1962年。1983年大队又改为上沙乡，1986年改设上沙管理区，1998年转为上沙村委会，2005年村改居后成为上沙社区居委会。[2]

孙中山先祖的故乡[edit]

据东莞市人民政府门户网站，上沙是孙中山先生的先代故乡，孙中山先生的祖先在此居住，至五世礼赞公时迁往中山左步。[1]

据博雅地名网，社区内的孙氏宗祠始建于明代中叶，清同治初年经香山（中山）左步头宗亲资助增建。宗祠附近的孙中山先祖三世祖墓为明代古墓，清同治三年（1864年）冬重修。[3]

据东莞市人民政府门户网站，孙氏宗祠、中山大道牌坊与孙中山祖先三世祖墓地，都已被定为市或镇一级文物保护单位；孙氏宗祠另是东莞市第一批爱国主义教育基地。[1]

据东莞市人民政府门户网站，社区的厂房物业出租面积约70万平方米，出租率100%，租金收缴率超过95%。[1]
