上元村位于清溪镇中心区北部，地处银屏山下，下辖4个村民小组，村内四个自然村依山而建。[2]

上元村原先交通不便、资源匮乏，1996年因集体总收入不足200万元被列为扶贫村。1997年村里推山填坑开辟银坑工业区，当年即摆脱贫困，此后外资厂逐年增多。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网载，上元村1987年才引进第一间对外厂，即一家港商的联合五金厂。[1]

1996年，全村总收入只有140万元，因不足200万元被镇政府列为扶贫村。1997年，村干部把上官仓村西侧的山坡地推平、填坑，平整出25万多平方米工业用地，开辟银坑工业区，当年引进4间外资厂，村组两级总收入增至246万元。[1]

1998年又引进5间外资厂，至2008年村内对外厂已有30多间，村组两级总收入达到1347万元。[1]

经济[edit]

据该村2025年工作总结，截至2025年10月，村组两级总资产22372万元，总收入1614万元，净收益691万元，此外纯收入为1330万元。[4]

该页还称，2024年村里回购厂房物业5500平方米，每年集体增收82.2万元。[4]

文化[edit]

镇政府网站称，龙岭古庙位于上元村，兴建于1859年，村里在清上路龙岭古庙周边种植花卉绿植，开展美丽庭院创建。[3][4]
