水南村是广东省东莞市石碣镇东部的行政村，是民族英雄袁崇焕的故乡，村内建有袁崇焕纪念园。全村常住人口约2.7万人，户籍约4000人，设4个村民小组。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年村地设南水乡，1952年改称水南乡。其后1955年至1957年村里组成高级社，并入水南大队；1958年划归石龙人民公社，1961年再改属石碣人民公社，设水南大队。[2]

1984年改设水南乡，1988年设水南管理区，1999年定名水南村委会，此后沿用至今。[2]

袁崇焕故里[edit]

镇政府网站以「民族英雄袁崇焕故里」称呼本村，并以文旅融合为发展方向，将袁崇焕的历史文化资源与乡村振兴结合。[1]

博雅地名网称，袁崇焕纪念园位于袁崇焕出生地和故居地的水南路段。[2]

经济与荣誉[edit]

镇政府网站称，村组两级的负债为12811万元，总资产则达89974万元（2025年）；两级经济总收入为14006万元（村级3888万元），两级净收益合计8884万元（村级2421万元）。[1]

博雅地名网记载，2024年1月，村庄入选2023年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」；2024年11月，获确定为2024年广东省「美丽庭院」特色村；2026年1月，获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[2]
