城中社区是广东省东莞市石碣镇下辖的社区，1994年成立，位于镇的中心区，辖区面积约2平方千米。社区内商业集中，有商业服务网点约1775个。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网记载，1992年起石碣镇整体规划，开辟新城区，城区土地面积约12平方千米。此后，1994年1月设立石碣城区管理委员会；1995年5月迁入新建的办公楼；1996年8月，该机构改称石碣镇新城管理区。[2]

镇政府网站称，社区商业布局合理，商业服务功能齐全，区内商业中心点上有一座综合商业体。辖区有便利店70多家，星级酒店1家，综合医院1所，小学1所，幼儿园5所，文化广场1个，公园3个。[1]
