历史沿革[edit]

白马是一座历史悠久的古村，相传有神人骑白马现身于此，当地建庵祭祀，村名由此而来。据记载，1190年至1194年间，东莞县令张勋曾在此主持营建白马庵。[1]

人口与荣誉[edit]

户籍居民4030人，计1389户；另有新莞人八千余人。社区获「全国综合减灾示范社区」「国家最美志愿服务社区」称号，又获「广东省六好平安和谐社区」「广东省卫生社区」「广东省宜居社区」等荣誉。[1]
