城中社区是英德市英城街道下辖的社区，属主城区，位于英德县城的中部。[1]

沿革[edit]

社区前身是1992年5月挂牌的新城居民管理区，1993年3月易名为城中街道居委会，直到2002年7月15日才改为城中社区居委会，沿用至今。[1]

2023年2月，城中社区析出建设路以东的部分，另设城东社区。[2]

近年工作[edit]

2023年7月，社区召开第二季度“大党委”联席会议。自2022年设立“大党委”机制以来，社区的服务由单独承担转为多方协作。[3]

2025年9月22日上午，社区工作人员在巡查中发现利民路56号商住楼三层有浓烟冒出，立即报警并赶赴现场，火情得到控制并扑灭，未造成人员伤亡。[4]

一村一策规划中，社区计划盘活约770平方米闲置资源，构建“公益+微利”的便民服务模式。[5]
