塘湾村是清新区山塘镇中部的行政村，离镇政府所在地约1.5公里。村委会由原塘湾村委会与上马村委会于2004年9月合并而成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历与内坑河有关：河道在村子这一段转了一个大弯。[1]

1953年此地初设为塘湾乡。到了1960年，它以大湾大队的名字出现；1981年的地名普查发现别处有同名大队，遂改称塘湾大队。之后1989年改管理区，1998年复为村委会，2004年与上马村委会并为一体，名字仍是塘湾。[1]

环境[edit]

内坑河的水质转好，全长12.5公里的河段重新变得清澈，这是镇里漫水河流域水生态环境综合整治的成果之一。[2]

荣誉[edit]

瓦岗村是塘湾村的一个自然村，获得「2022年广东省卫生村」称号，时间是2023年5月。[1]
