东城街道是广东省清远市清城区下辖的街道，位于清城区旧城区东部，前身为附城镇，2003年改设为街道。[1][3]

辖区内设社区与行政村两类居民单位。博雅地名网列有9个社区、10个行政村，区政府2024年的统计则称全街下辖20个行政村（社区）。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立后，此地为清远县下属的公社；1987年改为附城镇，1988年1月起归清城区管辖。[1][3] 2003年6月，省民政厅同意取消附城镇建制；其辖区另与莲塘、蟠龙两个村（二者原属市畜牧水产场）合组为东城街。[3] 同月，街道正式挂牌成立。[1] 街道名称取自辖区位于城区东边的位置。[1]

地理与交通[edit]

街道距广州市区约60公里，距广州新国际机场约30公里。北江三桥连接清远市新市区与东城，省道252穿过辖区，东部设有白庙客运站。[1] 清城区委、区政府的新办公大楼设在澜水村。[1][2]

人口[edit]

博雅地名网援引第七次全国人口普查结果，称东城街道人口约26万人，居清城区各街道乡镇首位。[1] 区政府统计的2024年末户籍人口为10.22万人。两个数字一为普查常住口径、一为户籍口径，不能直接相比。[3]

经济[edit]

博雅地名网的概况列出，街道近年引进了金碧湾花园、海逸华庭等房地产项目，以及清远国际大酒店、活力城大剧院和黄腾峡漂流等文娱旅游项目，并称辖区有制衣厂56家，概况未注明年份。[2] 制衣行业在东城历史较长，较大规模的企业有骏达制衣有限公司、东腾制衣厂。[2]

2024年，各村（社区）探索集体增收的路径。白庙社区依托北江沿岸的自然与渔村资源发展休闲渔旅与民宿；莲塘村利用闲置空地建设停车场，规划小车车位200多个；长埔村于2023年11月成立清远市清城区长埔投资服务有限公司，已整合约250亩土地。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

博雅地名网列入东城街道的文化旅游景点有「牛鱼嘴原始生态风景区」、「清远兴隆古寺」、「飞霞洞」、「藏霞古洞」、「峡山摩崖石刻」和「故乡里主题公园」。[1] 辖内石板村的石板乡农会旧址是清城区文物保护单位，建于1924年。[5]

著名人物[edit]

刘清（1900年至1928年）是石板村人，出生于贫苦农家。1924年冬，石板乡建立了原清远县第一个农民协会，刘清随即投身农会工作。[5]

黄峰（1914年8月至1991年1月）是附城镇莲塘沙寮村人，1940年至1955年间在清城上廓的益元堂坐诊行医。[6]
