中田村隶属阳春市八甲镇，村名由两个旧村名各取一字组合而成。[1]

名称来历[edit]

村址于明天启年间（1621—1627年）建成，原名中坚垌，境内另有长田村。1951年从乔连乡划出部分境域设立小乡，取中坚垌的「中」字与长田村的「田」字，定名为中田。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

中田村1958年成为大队，1983年改设乡政府，1986年换成村委会，1989年变为管理区。[1]

阳春市人民政府于1999年3月15日核准组建中田村委会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年10月，四新村列入「2023年度阳江市卫生村」名单。[1]
