历史沿革[edit]

明崇祯年间（1628年至1644年），人们在垌面上端建立了垌头村[1]。该村1949年时设为乡一级，1958年转为大队，之后1983年成立乡政府，1986年设村委会，1989年定为管理区。1999年2月5日，阳春市政府另设垌头村委会[1]。
