大令是东城镇下辖的社区，属主城区，东城镇人民政府驻地即在该社区范围内。[2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

地名来历：四面山势高耸，形似令箭，故俗称「大令」。[2]

这一带在1950年归阳江县三区合山乡管辖。1958年划入北惯公社，1962年改由那石公社下的丹载乡政府管理。[1]

东城镇于1989年设立，大令随之归其管辖，同年成立东城居委会。2013年12月，该居委会一分为二，形成始兴居委会与大令居委会两个单位，延续至今。[1]

文化[edit]

2019年9月，大令社区列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[2]
