历史沿革[edit]
报头先是1953年设立的报头乡。1958年并入超美人民公社下的两报乡，次年又成为岗到人民公社的一个生产大队，名为报头大队。[1]
1987年起称报头管理区。1989年东城镇建制后，它归该镇管辖。1991年英村、屋芳、屋寨三处自报头划出，报头管理区的范围由此缩小。1999年，这里设立东城镇报头村委会，此后沿用至今。[1][2]
