草朗村是双捷镇下辖的行政村。据博雅地名网，村名的来历是：清初，陆氏人家在此立村，村南一带为白鹤朗垌，水草丰茂，因此名为草朗。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期，草朗属阳江县八区。1949年设区、乡，此地成为草朗行政村；1953年归八区双捷乡。1956年12月合作化后改隶双捷区双捷乡；1958年11月设草朗管理区，1959年改隶双捷人民公社。1967年成立草朗生产大队革命委员会，1970年恢复为草朗村委会。1987年划入双捷镇，1988年改属阳东区，1991年改属阳东县，1999年再设村委会，2003年改隶江城区双捷镇。[1][3][4]

文化[edit]

本村被列入2018年度广东省民主法治示范村（社区）的创建名单，时间为2019年9月。[1]

2026年1月，草朗村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村的称号。[1]
