岗元村是双捷镇下辖的行政村，城乡分类为村庄，与朗东、康州、坭湾、双捷等村相邻。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1962年，岗元自康州大队中分出，单独设立岗元大队。1983年大队撤销，改设岗元乡。1987年此地成为岗元村委会，随后又改称管理区；1999年4月才重设村委会，直至今日。[1][2]
文化[edit]
2023年度阳江市卫生村的名单里有石岗村、朱屋村等七个村，列入时间为2023年10月。本村于2024年3月获评2023年广东省卫生村。[1]
2019年9月，本村进入广东省民主法治示范村（社区）的创建名单，名单公布于2018年度。[1]
