双捷村是双捷镇下辖的行政村，城乡分类属镇乡结合区。村名因村中有双捷圩而来。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1956年12月设双捷小乡，1958年起为双捷管理区，次年改为双捷大队。1983年复称管理区，1987年改为村委会，后又恢复管理区的名称。同年，圩一、圩二两个生产队分出，另设双捷居委会（今双捷社区）。1999年复设双捷村委会，此后沿用至今。[1][3]

文化[edit]

2019年9月，本村列入2018年度广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位。[1]

博雅地名网列出，2021年12月，基围头村、村头村被定为2021年度阳江市卫生村；2023年10月，上旧圩、下旧圩等七地被定为2023年度阳江市卫生村。2024年3月，本村获评2023年广东省卫生村。[1]
