双捷镇是广东省阳江市江城区下辖的镇，位于江城区西北部，地处漠阳江中下游，镇政府设在双捷社区东兴街。全镇辖2个社区和10个行政村。1987年由区改镇时隶属阳江县，2003年改属江城区。[3][1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，这一带属南河一图。1953年改称双捷乡，1956年12月划归双捷区；次年2月撤区，设大乡，仍名双捷乡。1958年11月，双捷与红五月农场，以及白沙乡广湛公路以北的部分地方合为红五月公社，次年10月改称双捷公社。1963年2月，双捷与麻汕合并为一个公社。1983年撤销公社，重设双捷区。[1]

1987年2月，双捷由区改为镇，定名双捷镇，归阳江县管辖。1988年阳江县改设地级市，双捷镇改属阳东区；1991年6月起归阳东县。2003年5月，阳江市调整区划，双捷镇改归江城区。[3][1]

地理环境[edit]

双捷镇东南与白沙街道接壤，东北隔漠阳江与红丰镇相望，西北邻阳春市的河口镇和岗美镇，西南与阳西县的程村镇相连。百度百科载其面积为96.1平方千米，博雅地名网载约82平方千米（年份不详），本文取前者。[3][5]
