新南村位于广东省河源市东源县上莞镇的南部，是镇内建立较晚的村落之一，村名由此得来[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1958年村子称新南大队，1983年改为新南乡，1987年成为新南管理区。到1999年，东源县政府批准此地设立村委会，名称沿用至今[1][2]。

名胜古迹[edit]

「中共九连地委及粤赣边支队司令部旧址」位于本村六角楼[1]。「上莞革命烈士陵园」位于本村彭屋岗，陵园的烈士碑原建于20世纪50年代，1991年迁到现址[1]。
