九子村在彭寨镇境内，为和平县的一个行政村，与泮溪村、梅园村、二六村、川九村、惠宏村相邻。据博雅地名网，早年朱姓先祖生有九个儿子，此地原名九子塘，后改称九子村。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年以前，此地分为九子乡与川九乡。1953年，九子、川九合组为初级社，1960年改为高级社；1963年改设九子大队，1987年设九子管理区。1999年撤区建村，设立为村民委员会。[2]

文化[edit]

2019年9月，九子村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2024年3月，该村被命名为2023年广东省卫生村。[1]
