盘石村是连平县大湖镇下辖的行政村，村名源自明末曾姓先人建立的「磐石镇」祖祠，村内有白云楼战斗旧址。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村名原作「磐石村」。明崇祯年间，曾姓先人定居时建起「磐石镇」祖祠，以祖堂之名作为地名；「磐」「盘」同音，遂改写为盘石村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放后，村子分为上、下两片：上片另立白云村，下片仍称盘石村。1958年大湖人民公社成立，白云与盘石合为盘石乡，此后改称盘石生产大队。1987年设盘石管理区，1998年撤销管理区，设立盘石村民委员会。[1]

白云楼[edit]

白云楼位于盘石村，原为地主曾启瑞兄弟的宅院，院落面积约2500平方米。1948年3月，守军进驻此楼；1949年1月，连和县人民政府组织部队将楼中守军围困，此处成为「白云楼战斗旧址」。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予盘石村「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
