地名由来[edit]
曾姓先人定居此地时，分为「五果」与「角禾岭」两个自然村片。后来人们从两个村名中各取一字，合为五禾村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
五十年代这里是五禾大队，到八十年代成为五禾管理区。90年代末管理区取消，改为村级建制，村民委员会至今仍在运作。[1]
革命遗址[edit]
五果村农民协会旧址位于五禾村五果片的骆形屋。1947年12月，连和区分工委的委员邓基指导当地群众组建农会，五果村的农会由此成立，据博雅地名网所载，是大湖地区解放战争时期成立的第一个农民协会。[2]
荣誉[edit]
五禾村于2023年5月获广东省爱卫会评定为「2022年广东省卫生村」。2019年9月，五禾村入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]
