库区村是连平县大湖镇下辖的行政村，村名来自瓮潭水库建设时留下的移民：刘、丘两姓村民居于水库岸边，故称库区村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

修建瓮潭水库时，部分移民留在当地，其中刘、丘两姓村民住在水库边岸，村因此得名库区村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年，此地属和平县青州人民公社，编为建民小乡；1961年改为建民小公社。1967年设建民大队革命委员会，1970年划归连平县，改称下磜大队。1988年设下磜管理区，1998年撤区改村，称下磜村；2005年设立库区村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予库区村「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
