西坪村位于上坪镇西南部，是镇内的一个行政村，与下楼村、惠西村等相邻。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村庄处在上坪镇的西南方向，因此得名西坪。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村庄原称西南大队，后又分开成为新华大队；据本村页面，1995年分出布联、下楼与西坪三村。下楼村的页面则记为1960年新华分为西坪村与小楼村，两说年份不同，此处并录。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，村庄上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单；2024年3月，获「2023年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
