地名由来[edit]
村庄山多，河流、小溪和旱坑都不少，村中的桥多为拱桥，且架在山上，故以「古坑」为名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
早期称古坑十二村，后改设古坑管理区；1999年设古坑村民委员会。[1]
文物[edit]
古坑四角楼位于大河背，建于清代，坐西北朝东南，属四楼角式方形围屋，砖木结构。2010年，县政府将其公布为文物保护单位。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2022年1月，广东省乡村振兴局确定本村为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位；2023年5月，获广东省爱卫会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」称号；2024年4月，入选「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。[1]
