警雄村是元善镇下辖的行政村，村名由两个旧地名各取一字组成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名由两处地名各取一字而来：麻陂河东的雄狮村、河西的警钟村，各取一字，合为警雄。[1]

建国后此地设麻陂乡，乡内随后分成三个村，1999年才改为警雄村委会。[1]

2023年5月，警雄村被广东省爱卫会评为2022年度广东省卫生村。[1]
