大塘肚村位于廻龙镇内，地处龙川与兴宁交界一带，是一个客家聚居的行政村。村名与地形有关：旧称「水尾」，位于韩江上游支流的源头，村中部宽、两端窄，形如鱼肚，四周高山环抱，俯瞰如同一口鱼塘。村内的五兴龙县苏维埃政府旧址是镇内的红色遗存。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年，大塘肚从东北大队分出，设为大塘肚大队；1983年并入东北乡，定名大塘肚村。1987年确立村委会，1989年设管理区，1999年重设村委会。[1]

革命旧址[edit]

1929年3月，闽粤赣边五兴龙县苏维埃政府在此宣告建立，它是闽粤赣边区首个联县苏维埃政权。[3]

五兴龙县苏维埃政府旧址是一座清代客家方形屋，朝向东西，以土木为主体，院落为两进三横，屋内建筑面积185平方米，外围占地逾八百平方米。旧址之外还有兵工厂遗迹、烈士碑和一处广场。目前它既是「广东省文物保护单位」，又是「爱国主义教育基地」，并被收入「全国红色旅游经典景区」名录。[3]

百度百科称，旧址于1986年被列为县文物保护单位。[2]

2022年，镇政府报告称，大塘村的红色村建设除苏区公路二期外已基本完成。[4]

荣誉[edit]

2023年5月，广东省爱卫会将2022年广东省卫生村的称号授予大塘肚村。[1]

2026年1月，大塘肚村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
