1953年，此地以秀田小乡的名义设立，归雅寄乡管辖。[1]

荣誉与近年情况[edit]

2019年10月，秀田村列入广东省2019年度卫生村名录。[1]

2023年，镇政府报告称全镇当年又有4户进入削坡建房的管控对象，其中秀田村有两户属中风险，已设管护工程和警示标识，尚未动工。[2]

此外，秀田村设有一个住户调查点，当年入户调查得出的人均可支配收入是18648元。[2]
