雁头村是紫金县古竹镇下辖的行政村，2002年由岸头村委会改名而来。[1]
地名由来[edit]
博雅地名网说，村子地形像一只金鹰落在平沙上，村落所在正是鹰头，所以叫雁头。[1]
建置沿革[edit]
1952年设岸新乡，属古竹镇；1958年成立岸头生产大队，之后依次改作岸头乡（1983年）、岸头村委会（1987年），一度设管理区，1998年复设岸头村委会，2002年更名为雁头村委会，沿用至今。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2026年3月，雁头村被认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」。[1]
