城东街道是广东省河源市东江东岸的一个街道，在市中心城区的对岸，由河源江东新区代管。辖区面积20.69平方千米，下辖河紫路、东环学府2个社区和胜利、和平2个行政村。[1]街道设立于2017年，是江东新区城市起步区所在地。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

街道所在的土地原属源南镇。博雅地名网称，省民政厅在2017年批复，经省政府同意，把源南镇的一部分划出，另设城东街道。[2]河源日报的报道把时间具体到2017年9月，称办事处在这个月得到省政府批复。[1]名称的来由，是它在源城区的东边。[2]

河源江东新区于2014年5月20日挂牌成立，城东街道、临江镇和古竹镇归它管辖。[3]

地理环境[edit]

街道紧挨河源市中心城区：西到东江东岸，东南与临江镇相接，北面是东源县仙塘镇。[1]

人口民族[edit]

2020年12月的报道给出的数字是：户籍约1.2万人，常住约6.3万人。[1]博雅地名网另记有约4.97万人，未注明年份。[2]

经济[edit]

街道是江东新区的城市起步区，街道规划的产业方向有总部经济、金融、其他现代服务和互联网经济。[1]为开发片区，街道自2018年起征收土地3880亩，拆迁房屋2616栋，并迁移坟墓1476座（数字截至2020年底）。[1]街道内已建成河源高级中学、东江东路北段等项目，在建的有中骏世界城商业综合体、碧桂园学校和市中级法院等。胜利花园、和平花园是安置小区。[1]

胜利村、和平村分别成立了村集体股份公司，盘活集体留用地和安置房门店。2020年，胜利村实现人均分红约1000元，两村两村又拿出集体收益，替村民缴纳医保与养老保险。[1]街道的建档立卡贫困人口26户59人，在2019年全部脱贫出列。[1]
