青塘村是西南镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的东北方约3.8千米处。村域北面以螺河为界，与大安镇隔河相望，山地和水力资源较丰富。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1952年，此地设立青塘乡，归第九区（大安区）。1958年改设青塘大队，划归大安公社，直到1974年才转入西南公社。[1]

1983年复为青塘乡，属西南区；1987年为村委会，隶西南乡；1994年称管理区，属西南镇；1999年重设村委会，名称至今未变。[1]

经济[edit]

村民在农业之外，有不少劳力前往珠海、深圳、海南等地务工经商，村内的水泥公路已通到各自然村。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年4月，青塘村被列入汕尾市2020年度市级文明村镇名单。[1]

2023年4月公布的省级乡村治理示范村创建名单（2022年度）中有青塘村。[1]
