历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，黄塘总村由西、东北、西北三片原村合并组成。[1]
建国后此地称黄塘乡，归第九区（大安区）。1961年改设黄塘大队；1974年由大安公社转入西南公社。[1]
1983年为黄塘乡，隶西南区；1987年成立村委会，此时属西南镇；1994年改称管理区；1999年复为村委会，延续至今。[1]
经济[edit]
村民以农业为生，生活较困难，故有部分劳动力外出务工，增加收入。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，黄塘村被列入广东省2018年民主法治示范村（社区）创建名单。[1]
2023年4月，黄塘村出现在省级乡村治理示范村的创建名单里（2022年度）。[1]
2023年5月，黄塘村列入2022年广东省卫生村名单。[1]
