政坑村位于甲西镇东北部，属丘陵地区，以农业种植和养殖为主，村委会距镇府约5千米。村的沿革与渔池大队有关，1974年自渔池大队分出，并与林边、淡政两村组成政坑大队。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年，此地归第八区（两城区）渔池乡管辖。[1] 1974年，自渔池大队分出，连同林边、淡政两村组成政坑大队，隶甲子公社。[1] 1987年为村委会，隶甲西乡；1994年转为管理区，归甲西镇；1999年改回村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

广东省爱卫会于2020年12月命名政坑村为「2020年广东省卫生村」。[1] 2019年9月，政坑村入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
