康美村位于甲西镇西北面，属丘陵地带，以农业为主，兼营蔬菜种植，并利用鳌江堤围养殖。村中有陆丰市指定文物保护单位“崇岳堂”和“龚玉屏夫妇墓”。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网记，范、李、蔡、郑、高等姓的先祖在1661至1671年间迁来此地建村。[1] 1949年归甲子镇管辖。1968年，湖沃、康美、水口三村合并，组成康美大队，隶甲子公社。[1] 1983年设康美乡，划归甲西区；1987年为村委会，隶甲西乡。[1] 1994年转为管理区，归甲西镇；1999年又改回村委会。[1]

文化[edit]

陆丰市指定文物保护单位中，康美村有“崇岳堂”和“龚玉屏夫妇墓”。[2]

荣誉[edit]

广东省爱卫会于2020年12月命名康美村为「2020年广东省卫生村」。[1] 2019年9月，康美村入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
