客楼村位于甲西镇西北部，属丘陵地带，以种植杂粮、蔬菜、青瓜和水稻为主。博雅地名网称该村建村已有500多年。广东省爱卫会于2020年12月命名客楼村为「2020年广东省卫生村」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，先祖自惠来县见龙村迁来，建村至今逾500年，村域土地曾广达1万多亩。[1] 1953年，此地设为第八区（两城区）下的客楼乡；1960年改设客楼大队，归甲子公社。[1] 1967年改隶甲西公社，1972年复归甲子公社。[1] 1983年设客楼乡，自甲子镇划入甲西区；1987年为村委会，隶甲西乡。[1] 1994年转为管理区，1999年又改回村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

广东省爱卫会于2020年12月命名客楼村为「2020年广东省卫生村」。[1]
