范袁村是甲西镇的行政村，位于陆甲大道边，距镇中心约6千米，属丘陵地带，村民以农业为主，兼营养殖和种果林。村名沿用至今。广东省爱卫会于2021年12月命名范袁村为「2021年广东省卫生村」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

土改期间，此处先称范袁乡，归第八区（两城区）。[1] 1958年公社化时，另立范袁大队，隶甲西公社；1978年曾易名立新大队，第一次地名普查时恢复原名。[1] 1983年复设范袁乡，隶甲西区；1987年成为村委会，隶甲西乡。[1] 1994年起称管理区，1999年再回到村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

广东省爱卫会于2021年12月命名范袁村为「2021年广东省卫生村」。[1] 2023年4月，范袁村列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单。[1]
