张厝村是甲西镇的行政村，位于陆甲公路两侧，属丘陵地带，以农业为主，村级产业以水稻种植和农副产品为主。村的沿革几经调整，1959年改由惠来地区接管，1987年重新组建村委会。广东省爱卫会于2023年5月命名该村为「2022年广东省卫生村」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地原由汕头地区的陆丰县管治，1959年改由惠来地区接管。[1] 1987年，张厝与莲池两处自然村划归陆丰县甲西乡，再与王厝、圳坑合编，组成张厝村委会。[1] 1994年转为管理区，隶甲西镇；1999年又改回村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

广东省爱卫会于2023年5月命名张厝村为「2022年广东省卫生村」。[1]
