海甲村是甲西镇最西南端沿海的行政村，属沙丘地区，离镇政府约6千米。村名由来与旧称有关：原名新寮，1952年更名。海甲村于2024年3月获命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此村原称新寮，1952年更名，同时设立海星大队，划归甲西公社。[1] 1983年设海甲乡，隶甲西区；1987年为海甲村委会，隶甲西乡。[1] 1994年转为管理区，1999年复为村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

海甲村获命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」，时间为2024年3月。[1]
