奎湖村在陆丰市甲东镇东部，辖4个村民小组，人口10843人，距镇政府3千米，离海2千米。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950至1951年，甲东乡的乡址曾设在奎湖，属第八区（两城区）；1952至1957年，甲东分设9个小乡，奎湖是其中的奎湖乡；1958年设奎湖大队，归甲东公社；1977年一分为奎北、奎南两个大队；1983年两队合并为奎湖乡，属甲东区；1987年改村委会，隶甲东镇；1994年称管理区，1999年复称村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

村在丘陵地带，种果树、木麻黄和冬瓜，也有鱼塘和养鸡场，并在试验海面养殖紫菜。[1]奎湖村的甘薯产业，使它在2022年10月被广东省农业农村厅认定为「2022年广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」。[1]

奎湖村列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」（2019年9月公布）；又名列2024年3月命名的「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
