可湖村在陆丰市甲东镇的半岛东南部，面积约17平方千米，辖5个村民小组，人口11617人，是甲东镇人口最多、面积最大的行政村，离镇政府3千米。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明代，洪、詹两姓的先人来此立村，随后陈、李两姓迁入；洪、詹两姓后来迁走，现住的是陈、李两姓。1949年设可湖乡，属第八区（两城区）；1961年改可湖大队，归甲东公社；1983年称可湖乡；1987年改村委会；1994年称管理区；1999年复称村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

村地处沿海丘陵，种水田、花生、瓜类，鱼塘养虾蟹鱼，还引进了海边晒盐场和养殖场。[1]2020年8月，可湖村（紫菜）列入广东省农业农村厅公布的首批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，可湖村获2020年广东省卫生村称号。[1]
