面积5.5平方千米，总人口3700多人，距市区15千米、镇政府6千米，只有一条弯曲公路与外相通。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1952年属八联乡（十四区即乌坎区）；1972年设竹桥大队，隶金厢公社；1983年改称竹桥乡；1987年改村委会，1994年称管理区，1999年复称村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年5月，获广东省爱卫会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
