距镇政府约1千米，总人口2588人，耕地650亩，海水养殖面积约400亩，果林250亩。村委计划筹建60亩膏蟹精养池，增加集体收入。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1952年属金海乡（十四区即乌坎区）；1972年设埔边大队，隶金厢公社；1987年改村委会，1994年称管理区，1999年复称村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2020年12月获「2020年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
