城美村在金厢镇东侧、金碣公路北，由3个自然村组成，是长期缺水的纯农业村。2000年6月，其下巷等4个村民小组分出另设下巷村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1952年属山角乡（十四区即乌坎区）；1978年为金厢公社城美大队，1983年改乡，1994年称城美管理区。2000年6月陆丰市政府批准一分为二，设城美、下巷两个村民委员会。[1][2]

概况与荣誉[edit]

村距市区15千米、镇政府5千米，地缘条件较弱。[2]2023年5月获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
