新洲村是汕尾市陆丰市湖东镇的行政村。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

明代末年，陈氏先祖由福建迁居此地；金、田两姓后来离开，村名随之改为新田。[1][2]新洲在1950年代属南埔乡府（乡府在霞埔），1960年并入新埔大队，1976年单独成立新洲大队，1987年起设村委会，1994年一度称管理区，1999年又改回村委会。[2]

荣誉[edit]

广东省爱卫会在2020年12月授予该村「2020年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
