新洲社区在深圳市福田区沙头街道，东起新洲路，北至滨河路，由原新洲村改设，辖区约1平方千米。村名相传来自冲积较晚的沙洲。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村原名“衍雍堂南溪”。据传四五百年前，简氏南溪祖迁到宝安县建村，后来分作北村、南村、中心村和祠堂村四个自然村。[1]1992年推行农村城市化，村民委员会被撤销，改设新洲、新南两个居民委员会，并组建新洲股份公司；2002年两居委会合一，称新洲社区。[1]
百度百科则称村始建于明正统年间，村民起初晒盐为生，简氏宗祠建于清嘉庆年间，2001年定为区级文物保护单位。详见新洲村。[2]
