金源社区在甲子镇，2011年批准设立，原是渔船避风港一带，经规划开发为金源住宅区。[1][2]

概况[edit]

社区东面是甲东渡槽桥，西面抵甲子水产品市场，瀛江大道在南，海滨路在北，辖区约3平方千米，总人口约6000人。社区党支部有党员23人，两委干部7人。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网载，这里原属甲子镇渔船避风港，经镇政府重新规划，开发成住宅区，并在2011年获批设立金源社区居民委员会。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，社区入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2020年12月，获广东省爱卫会授予的2020年广东省卫生村称号。[2]
