双寨村在陆丰市东部、城东街道东部，由新寨村和旧寨村两个自然村组成。[1]

地理与人口[edit]

村东邻高美村，南隔广汕公路与水墘村相接，北面隔着南坑水库，在324国道北侧；深汕高速公路在村境通过，厦深铁路从村边经过，离陆丰高铁站直线约1公里。村土地6.1平方千米，分2个村民小组，户籍3287人、517户，常住1850人，外出流动1437人。出产水稻、番薯、花生、芝麻、荔枝和油柑。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，明嘉靖年间陈姓先祖迁来建寨；清雍正九年（1731年）陆丰置县，列坊廓都五图的新寨、旧寨。建国初期，新寨、旧寨、上神山、下神山、磨海、埔田六个自然村合为一区神寨乡；1965年称磨海大队，1975年磨海大队分为双寨、双山、磨海三个大队。2020年12月，双寨村获2020年广东省卫生村称号。[2]
